Summary of Case

"On 3 April 2021, Bol News channel’s reporter Kamran Minhas came under attack after he filed a report on “parking mafia.” The journalist received minor injuries during the attack. Local police did not get case registered against the accused after the journalist tried to lodge complaint.

Bureau chief of Bol news mr. Shahid jatoi told PPF that Kamran is a reporter of bol News Karachi, Kamran was attacked by some locals after reporting a news against Parking mafia. Shahid said that He don’t have complete information Kamran can tell brief story but yes it is related to his work.

On 8 May, 2021 Kamran Minhas told PPF that Kamran was in Korangi 5 No. for reporting a story of Increasing exercise habit in citizens of Pakistan. According to Kamran a well-organized parking mafia of that area thought Kamran was were there to cover their activities, Parking Mafia memers attaced on Kamran. Kamran called Local police, Police settled the matter and Attackers apologized. No FIR was filed."
