Summary of Case

"On 20 Aug, 2021 journalist Muhammad Imran, who runs his Web channel “Vision 47 News” was attacked by local business men Raza Ahmed Noori and Zahid Shah in Taxila, Rawalpindi in the premises of Court.

A day ago on Aug 19, 2021 Imran posted a news report against the accused claiming that they are involved in illegal profit based business.

On August 20, 2021 journalist Muhammad Imran, who runs his Web channel “Vision 47 News” was attacked by local business men Raza Ahmed Noori and Zahid Shah in Taxila, Rawalpindi in the premises of Court. A day ago on Aug 19, 2021 Imran posted a news report against the accused claiming that they are involved in illegal profit based business.

On Aug 24, 2021 Muhammad Imran told PPF that the attack was related to his news report, He posted a day ago. According to Imran, Raza Ahmed Noori and Zahid Shah are involve in illegal business of Profit commonly called “Sud Khori”and then threat the residents. He made a complete package after evidences received by residence of the area and posted on his web channel. On next day, Aug 20 he went to session court Taxila for his work where Raza Ahmed Noori and Zahid Shah came and beat him, they had pistol and warned him to stop his work otherwise they will not leave him. Imran had minor injuries and body pain. Imran then registered FIR against them on same day in Taxila Police Station.

On Aug 24, 2021 Investigation Officer Irfan Riaz told PPF that both accused are on pre arrest bail, however the accused accepted that they attacked on Imran because of his News report. He will investigate the matter and will inform either the news report was true facts based or propaganda against the accused.

Colleague of Imran, Mr. Raza Khilji who was along with Imran at the time of incident told PPF that a young man committed suicide in the area due to the pressure of Raza Ahmed Noori and some other residents also told them about his behavior, that is why He and Imran investigated the matter and made a Media report, after they posted a video the businessman Raza Ahmed Noori got angry and tortured Imran in the premises of court where other present residents including him interfered and stop them.

President of Taxila Press Club Mr. Rizwan Hyder told PPF that the matter was related to the journalistic work of Muhammad Imran, He condemn the behavior of Raza Ahmed Noori and others. "
