FIA Initiated Legal Action Against YouTuber Imran Riaz Khan Over Anti-Judiciary Campaign

On September 11, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) initiated legal proceedings against YouTuber Imran Riaz Khan for allegedly leading an online smear campaign against the judiciary. The case, filed under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), invokes Section 20 for privacy violations and charges related to issuing threats and abetment.

Ahmad Sadiq Khan, a resident of G-14, Islamabad, filed the complaint, alleging that Riaz Khan and seven others engaged in a coordinated social media campaign to defame the judiciary. The individuals named in the case include Mujahid Ali Shah, Allah Nawaz Khan, Sohail Ahmed, Umar Sadiq, Sadiq Anjum, Musadiq Abbasi, and Tariq Saleem.

The FIA’s Cyber Crime Circle registered the case in Islamabad, with sources suggesting that the arrests of those involved are imminent. There is also speculation that additional legal actions may be taken against other vloggers and YouTubers who have participated in similar activities.
