No FIR was filed regarding the case as accused gave verbal apology to victim Mr. Abid Hussain Keerio and he accepted the apology.

Summary of Case

On May 1, 2020, Aftab Hussain Keerio, 42, reporter of Daily Pahanji Akhbar and Time News TV channel was found lying unconscious and having sustained multiple injuries at Lehrani stop on a link road in Bhirya city.

Aftab Hussain Keerio seemed to have sustained injuries from repeated strikes of club and other hard objects while returning home on his motorcycle. He was taken to the Bhirya City hospital, where doctors referred him to the Naushahro Feroze Civil Hospital.

Mr. Aftab Hussain Keerio told PPF that he was on his way from Bahria City to Khalifo Ibrahim Keerio Goth when 10 men having sticks started beating him badly. They belonged to a family of that girl who was trying to leave his home with his lover and her family members murdered the girl. I reported the case on media that’s why her family members was angry on me and attacked me. I can’t disclose the name of that girl. No FIR was filed regarding the case as later on her family members came to my house and presented verbal apology to me which was accepted by me.

Mr. Zahid, district head of Daily Pahanji Akhbar and Time News TV channel told PPF that it was the matter of a reported news regarding a murdered girl and no FIR was filed regarding the case.

Mr. Qazi Zulfiqar, President of Naushahro Feroze press club told PPF that there was a matter of reporting for a girl who was murdered by his family because she was leaving his home with a boy. We strongly condemn the incident. No FIR was registered regarding the case as the matter was resolved between the accused and victim.
