Summary of Case

"On December 11, 2022 Mirza Rizwan Baig, reporter of Samaa news and runs a youtube channel Haqeeqat Pakistan received a threatening text message from Anas Ajmal after posting a video of a scandal of sexual exploitation of students by a professor in government college Layyah.   On December 11, 2022 Journalist Mirza Rizwan Baig, received a threatening text message from Anas Ajmal who is the member of a gang involved in the case of the chat leak of Professor Mushtaq Ahmed in September 2022.   Mirza Rizwan Baig told PPF that recently the cases of harassment in Government post graduate college were rising.  An inappropriate chats of the professor Botany subject, Mushtaq Ahmed was leaked in September 2022 in which the Professor was harassing college girls.   “I made a YouTube video regarding the incident after which Anas Ajmal, a supporter of the professor sent a threatening text message to me saying, see you later”, Baig added.   Asad Dawadi, General Secretary of Dera Ghazi Khan press club told PPF that he is unaware of the incident and he will update after investigating the case.   Aqib Maniar, Desk controller of Samaa TV told PPF that Mirza Rizwan Baig is a district correspondent of Samma but the channel did not cover any news related to this incident and neither Rizwan Baig has informed us about this.    First Information report number is 1131/22 under section crime 506, the FIR was registered in police station ""Chowk Azam"" district Layyah. Tansur Hameed, Investigation officer told PPF that according to the Journalist Mirza Rizwan Baig he posted some news on his social media account for the professor Mushtaq Ahmed who used to harass college girls, and due to his video culprit Anas Ajmal sent him a threatening text message. This is a one sided story which is a stance of Journalist, police is investigating the matter right now and after taking the version of Anas Ajmal we will decide, whether the case is related to journalism or it is a personal rivalry matter of Mirza Rizwan Baig however before that police is unable to comment on this case. ""The accused is on pre arrest bail and police have called Mirza Rizwan Baig and Anas Ajmal but they did not visit the police station"" Hameed added"
