Summary of Case
"On February 1, 2023, Suno TV’s correspondent Muhib Ullah and his cameraman Yaseen Khan were manhandled by the staff of the Chaman Passport office for exposing the staff of the passport office in Chaman. Muhib Ullah is currently working at Suno TV and he was a former correspondent for Khyber TV. Muhib Ullah did not register the FIR of the incident. Speaking with PPF Mohib Ullah said last week he got the news that a peon of the Chaman Passport Office is illegally operating the data of the office however he is not eligible enough to operate the data. Muhib ullah recalled the incident and said, “I went to the passport office and met Najeeb Khan who was a peon in the office now he is operating the data illegally, upon asking questions regarding the promotion Najeeb Khan called his staff and they started violence and misbehaving with me and my cameraman they broke the cameras in which we were recording the interviews and sots and they pushed us and threw outside the office” Muhib Ullah added. “After the incident, I went to Chaman press club and informed them about the incident and they did protest in my support, I did not register the FIR in the police station,” Muhib Ullah told. “I informed my assignment editor Burhan about the incident,” Muhib said. Yaseen Khan, photojournalist of Suno TV told PPF that data operator Najeeb Khan manhandled the team of Suno TV for making videos and footage, they damaged the phones and did not apologize to the team of Suno TV. “We did not lodge the FIR and did not inform any press club or union about the incident” Khan added. Khaliq Rind, president of Quetta press club told PPF that he is unaware of the incident and he will tell after taking information in this regard. Habib Ullah, president of the Chaman press club, told PPF that he does not know who Muhib Ullah is and Muhib Ullah did not inform the press club. Kifayat Ali, Bureau chief of Suno TV told PPF that the correspondent of Suno TV Muhib Ullah, and cameraman Yaseen Khan went to expose the peon of the Chaman passport office who is also additionally responsible for operating the data and he did not have any card. “The staff of the Chaman Passport office accused our reporters that they were making the footage of women that is the reason they assaulted our team, which is not correct,” Ali said. "
