Summary of Case

"On Jan 31, 2022, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf MPA Aqibullah Khan allegedly misbehaved with a journalist, Mustafa Kamal associated with 92 news when the latter drew his attention towards out-of-order equipment in the Bacha Khan Hospital Complex, Shahmansoor.

MPA Mr. Aqibullah, his brother, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, and newly-elected Swabi tehsil mayor Attaullah Khan, were on a visit to the hospital to inspect facilities and listen to patients.

The elected representatives visited different wards and asked about facilities from the patients and their attendants.

Mustafa Kamal told PPF that he informed MPA Aqibullah that some machines in the hospital were lying out of order the lawmaker got offended and misbehaved with the media persons. Later Asad Qaiser promised Mustafa that he will take an action but no action was taken.

Syed Arif Shah, president of Swabi press club condemn the incident and demanded action against MPA.
