"On September 27, 2022.Pemra has fined six TV channels including ARY News Pakistan’s Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has fined six national television channels for airing former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s controversial speech on the army chief’s appointment. The fined channels include ARY News, Channel Five, Express News, Dunya News, Aaj News and Seven News. Pemra issued show cause notices to these channels on September 5, 2022 for airing Imran Khan’s speech, but none of the channels could give a satisfactory response to Pemra. Then Pemra fined each channel 10,000 rupees. Imran Khan said in his speech, Earlier, PEMRA had ordered TV channels to show Imran Khan’s speech with a delay of 30 seconds as per the rules. "
