Summary of Case
"On 22 Oct, 2021 mobile internet has been suspended in Samanabad, Iqbal Town and other areas around the sit-in location in light of the protests. The notification to this effect was issued by the Ministry of Interior.
The protestors are seeking the outfit’s chief Saad Rizvi’s release. Saad Rizvi, son of late TLP founder Khadim Hussain Rizvi, is in detention since April 12 for “maintenance of public order (MPO)”. At first he was detained for three months and then again taken into custody under the Anti-Terrorist Act on July 10. A federal review board will hear the government’s reference against him on Saturday.
