Musarratullah Jan didn't filed FIR and no action was taken by Asif Khan

Summary of Case

On 2nd September, 2021 MPA Muhammad Asif Khan, focal person to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister, hurled verbal threats at journalist Musarratullah Jan for his post about low standard construction work in his constituency. Journalist Musarratullah Jan told PPF that he works as a freelancer journalist in Peshawar, he made a video about low standard construction work in his constituency and post it on his WhatsApp story.

Someone from Musarrat’s contact list send this video to MPA Muhammad Asif Khan, He (MPA Muhammad Asif Khan) then called and threatened Musarrat.

No First Information Report (FIR) was filed “I know He is powerful man police will not filed FIR against him” Musarrat told PPF.

MPA of Pakistan People’s Party, Nighat Orakzai condemn this incident in KPK assembly.

General Secretary of Peshawar Press Club told PPF that Journalist Musarratullah Jan received threats from MPA of ruling political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Muhammad Asif Khan for his post about low standard construction work in his constituency. Journalist Musarratullah Jan Update Peshawar Press Club on September 2 with showing audio records of threats.

Peshawar Press Club and Khyber Union of Journalists condemned the threats and demanded action against the MPA.
