"A local Photojournalist Salman Hassan was arrested from his residence in Lahore. Salman Hassan is currently affiliated with Neo News Lahore. Speaking to PPF Shams-ul-Haq, the news controller of Neo News told that Salman was picked from his house on May 14, 2023, in Lahore in connection doing coverage outside parliament house, to cover the protest of PTI workers, after the massive violence in Lahore by PTI workers, now police are doing raids and through CCTV footages they are arresting people so they also arrested Salman Haider because he can be seen in the CCTV footage easily however police have released Salman Hassan after verifying the journalist yesterday. Azam Chaudhry, president of Lahore Press Club told PPF that yesterday on the orders of IG Punjab police released Salman and the driver of GNN news, Salman was arrested due to his coverage however the driver of GNN news was arrested and he was a PTI activist, both the media professionals are now released. Farhan Hassan, brother of Salman Hassan told PPF that Salman was arrested by the police on doubt of alleged involvement in PTI protests, however, they arrested Salman from his residence in Lahore on May 14, 2023, around 5:30 AM in the morning the mobile phone of Salman was broken and his contact details cannot be shared as he is mentally traumatized right now. “We are not thinking to proceed with this matter right now” Hassan added.
