Matter solved in meeting held in chakwal press club
Summary of Case
"On 24th Feb, 2022 chief editor of Daily Eye Chakwal Sajid Baloch received verbal threats for his news reports.
Sajid Baloch Chief, election commission member of Chakwal press club and chief editor of Daily Eye Chakwal told PPF that he published news regarding Land Mafia in his newspaper on 23 Feb 2022.
Following the news, Chaudhary Mazhar - chairman of property association of Chakwal and owner of Punjab real state gave me verbal threats “why you published such news”, Sajid told PPF.
Sajid said he didn’t point anyone in the news, it was a general news regarding land grabbers. Mazhar misunderstood the news. Meeting was held in Peshawar press club and the matter has been resolved.
President Peshawar press club, Babar Saleem told PPF that it was just a misunderstanding incident and nothing more than this we solved this matter.
Chief editor Voice of Chakwal, Abdul Ghaffar Paras told PPF that Chadhuary Mazhar chairman of the property association got confused after the news but we cleared to him in the meeting, and the matter is solved now."
