Summary of Case

"Akbar Notezai published a news story on Lok Sujag on November 22, 2022 after the news Akbar received legal notice from the brother of Senate chairman Sadiq Sanjrani. Khaliq Rind, president of Quetta press club told PPF that Notezai covered the news story for Lok Sujag and in that story he unleashed the facts of getting benefits from the massive project of copper-gold Saindak mine. Asim Ahmed Khan, fellow of PPF told PPF that Akbar Notezai is an investigative journalist and usually works as freelancer and he is also reports for “Lok Sujag” in Lok Sujag he covered his investigative story on Senate chairman Sadiq Sanjrani’s corruption that he did in Pakistan’s one of the massive project. “After his news he received the legal notice from the team of Sadiq Sanjrani” Khan added. Ghulam Dastageer, editor of Lok Sujag told PPF that Akbar did receive the legal notice from the brother of Senate chairman Sadiq Sanjrani for covering the news on the project of the gold mine. “Notice was sent to his residential address in Chalis , as he is the resident of Chalis” Dastageer added. However Akbar did not go to court and no court hearing has been scheduled for now. Asghar Zaidi, Incharge of Lok Sujag told PPF that Akbar wrote news on a gold mine against senate chairman Sadiq Sanjrani. "
