Summary of Case
"On 14 April, 2021 activists of the religio-political party Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) protesting in different cities of the country attacked a cameraman of 92 News channel Mr.Mian Ali Imran who was covering the protest in Lahore.
The protestors attacked the cameraman of private news channel and forcibly deleted footage of violence from the camera. The protesters also tore up the clothes of a cameraman.
The photojournalists have demanded departmental action against Civil Lines SP Safdar Raza Kazmi after the police thrashed their colleagues, snatched cameras when they were covering a police operation against activists of the Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan at Karol Ghati.
On 20 Apr 21, acting bureau Chief of 92 News Mr. Mian Shahid and Mr. Mian Ali Imran and told PPF that matter resolved between us by verbal apology.
