He further said that the situation would be clear after his funeral and he would share it. Junaid Nazeer, a former PPF fellow, said that Sagheer Ahmed had a shop named Al Noor General Store in the Nawan Kot area. He shared that after iftar, Ahmed was sitting at his shop when three unknown persons came and fired three bullets at him, and Ahmed died on the spot. He further shared that the situation is still not clear whether it happened because of personal matters or because of journalism. He said that he will talk with multiple persons about the case, and will let us know once he receives an update. Jalil Ahmed, resident of Mauza Tranda Madhu Khan, and brother of the deceased Sagheer Ahmed, reported that Sagheer was in his shop after evening prayers when three individuals arrived on a motorcycle. Two carried pistols, the third a Kalashnikov. They opened fire on Sagheer, killing him instantly with shots to the neck and lower body. Jalil insists Sagheer was innocent, had no known conflicts, and his only potential offense was occasionally sharing news links critical of local drug dealers. Jaleel said Sagheer received death threats from unidentified callers, instructing him to have his burial shroud (kaffun) prepared, as they purportedly intended to take his life. Sub-Inspector Malik Muhammad Aslam, the lead investigator, said that Sagheer was killed because of some personal dispute over some girl matters and the killers are still not arrested but the case is 85% solved.
